Ready for an Adventure?

Camping Season, here we come!

I have always adored camping. We did it all the time growing up, so it’s very nostalgic for me, plus it’s the most affordable way to vacation.

Growing up, we especially loved to camp in the Black Hills. We rarely left our campsite to do touristy things — we just enjoyed the time together in the outdoors. My mom and dad have always worked their tails off, so I looked forward to camping because they could just relax. My dad would become more laid back, so we got to see more of his sense of humor with his dry jokes and expressive eyebrow raises.

We did have a very few important camping rules:

  1. Meals are to be as simple as possible.
  2. No makeup allowed.
  3. You can sleep wherever you want. (Under the tree, anyone?)
  4. You must play Spoons at least once.

As we got older, we continued camping with an annual Cousin Campout, which probably lasted 10 years. The highlight was figuring out how to camp without the parents! (They were invited on the last day.) It was super fun to be 16 or 17, out on our own. We always had a blast!

Because I do art shows in the summer, our family doesn’t camp as often as I’d like, but we try to make it out at least once. We are outside all the time, though — swimming, going on walks, and watching lots of baseball games, so I know the importance of an organized bag.

Use our bag guide below to help you find the bag for all your outdoor adventures, camping or otherwise!

Rozzi: For the adventure seeker! It’s great for going hiking and sitting around the campfire. Stay hands-free while you carry camping essentials, like sunblock, bug spray, a hat, swim suit, maps, or water bottles.

Melissa: For the prepared traveler! It will carry everything you might need! The larger cavity can be filled generously for longer adventures.

Rudy: For the go getters! With Rudy, you can pack lighter, or it makes a great bag for kids to carry their own things at summer camp!

Brittany: For the trail blazers! Go completely hands-free with this modern day take on a belt bag! It carries only what you need, so you won't be weighed down.

Erin: For the minimalistic wanderer! It keeps the bare necessities safe and out of the way for exploring without distractions.

Philip Tote: Perfect for lake life! Keep your towels, suits, sunglasses, sun block and snacks all in one place.

At the end of the day, camping is really about the simplicities of life: a warm fire with friends and family, relaxed conversations, and enjoying the beautiful outdoors.
